We are a new, original/cover band (trio- Keys+vocals, Bass+backup vocals, Drums+backup vocals/sax) in our late 20s/early 30s, looking for a front(person) to replace female vocals that didn’t work out. The current trio works full time jobs (or more) and is trying to make some music together and make a couple bucks…
Personality, vocal/stylistic flexibility a must (ability to emulate artists on covers is ideal).
Other chops (guitar, keys, etc…) a plus. Must have flexible schedule or be able to make adjustments. If you have your own mic/cable please let us know. Singer/songwriter is cool, so far, everyone has brought a little something to the works.
We rehearse 1-2 times a week in Hamilton, NJ.
Our originals are …. Think John Legend meets Maroon 5 meets Elton John meets Dave Matthews meets John Mayer meets Nine Inch Nails meets Tool meets… Again, everybody brings something to the table…
Covers have ranged from Evanescense to Sheryl Crow, Norah Jones, Estelle, Lady Gaga (when we had female vocals)
Other influences/covers include Elton John, Deathcab for Cutie, John Mayer, White Stripes…and a growing list…
Looking to gig regularly when the music is right and the set is full…This isn’t some “Let’s just throw a bunch of songs together and be mediocre” thing. We’re looking to sound good on a budget and around busy schedules.
If you have your own transportation and equipment, and feel you can bring something to the table with minimal drama, reply with “HAMILTON” in the subject line. Please include any allergies or aversions to dogs, babies or wives…The drummer has one of each and we rehearse at his house.
